Sedni Studio

Sedni Studio is a product design studio established by Daniel Stavridis, producing limited edition furniture and objects. The studio’s name, “sedni,” is derived from the Macedonian word meaning “to sit” and serves as an embodiment of Stavridis’ cultural heritage, passion for exploration, and love for furniture design. Products have a focus on texture & materiality which are informed by globally influenced design narratives.

Project: Atu Range

The Atu range is inspired by Japanese motorcycle culture. Motorcycles have a distinct design language, movement is integrated into visual design choices made, while mixed material choices & colours add a level of personalisation. Atu has an asymmetric rail which sits atop each piece and flows into one another, nothing to define the start nor the end. Interwoven into that rail is a chain mesh lamp shade, which drapes unrestricted down the length of the diffuser. The light direction is cast upwards and outwards, creating a gradient light within the diffuser and off the chain.
