Dutoit Studio

Dutoit Studio was established in 2022 by South African-born Australian designer Dirk du Toit. With extensive experience working with local and international brands, including Australia’s leading product designers and iconic retailers, Dirk is our Melbourne-based studio's founder and creative director. In addition to his studio role, Dirk is completing a Master of Architecture at The University of Melbourne. Dutoit is a multi-disciplinary design studio specialising in furniture, homeware and product design. Finding the balance between utility and form, our approach combines creativity and practicality to craft objects that engage the senses.

Project: TUIN

TUIN is an outdoor seating solution with a focus on ethical design, comfort, local manufacturing, and longevity. Designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Australia, it reduces the product's carbon footprint and supports local manufacturing. The collection's comfort and aesthetics prioritise user well-being, creating a positive outdoor experience. TUIN utilises advanced manufacturing techniques to craft durable products that withstand the Australian climate.
