Tonkin Zulaikha Greer

Since 1987, Tonkin Zulaikha Greer (TZG) has worked across architecture, urban design, master planning, interior design, infrastructure, and heritage. We offer each project a diverse multidisciplinary approach – a combination of ‘big picture thinking’ architects and strategists working together to deliver flexible and enduring designs that build places, shape cities, and unite people. The TZG team is comprised of over thirty-five architects, working on complex projects in the public realm, both in Australia and overseas, and with all levels of Government, under strict protocols of security, probity, and conduct.

Project: Campbell House, Private Offices

Campbell House is the adaptive reuse of an 1890’s early Federation house set within a Heritage Conservation area. The integrated design approach of architecture-heritage-interior stitched together unifies the contemporary office use and the original building. A design approach is seated in the relationship between the two generations of building – how one is situated against the other, how the detail strengthens the contemporary without detracting from the inherited and how contemporary usage operates smoothly in the new arrangement. A primary focus on sustainability was weaved into the project to sustain the sites energy off grid for 80-percent off the year with photovoltaic panels.
